http://generalpublic.online/2017/10/30/always-on-voice-technology-raises-privacy-concerns/ The CEVA business was accused of listening to constant voice commands made by phones application such as Google voice assistant. This is seen as a violation for the right or privacy with in the community. But it’s on all of a time, durability adult to 8 hours and removal between 5 and 10 percent of a battery.  The CSpotter on CEVA-TeakLite-4 silicon will be demonstrated on Oct 27 during a CEVA Technology Symposium in Taiwan. It supports 33 languages formed on phoneme acoustic models and has optimized both orator eccentric and contingent voice activation. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-41801704 A daughter of an Apple engineer has filmed herself exploring the demanded iPhone X and uploaded the video to YouTube, weeks before its launch. The Dad’s bosses weren’t impressed with leak from California headquarters. Just hours after vlogger Brooke Amelia Peterson’s clip went live, it was deleted. The YouTube video was shot on the Apple campus in September when the young woman met her father for lunch. "At the end of the day when you work for Apple, it doesn't matter how good of a person you are, if you break a rule, they just have no tolerance," said Ms Peterson. "Apple really did like my dad. And they let him go. Because he broke a rule," she said. "It was an innocent mistake, and he fully apologises." My opinion on this is that its not a major issue for apple due to the fact the demand for the new Iphone wont drop at all. They probably crossed the line when they fired the father, as th

The future of newspapers

The future of newspapers Read  this article from the Economist on the future of newspapers . On your blog, write a paragraph summarising the argument the article makes. Then answer the following questions: The extract describes how newspapers have lost the most to the internet and this is apparent across the USA, Western Europe, and Australia. This is a matter that has been going on for years; though, the failure has intensively increased over the last few years. “The Vanishing Newspaper” by Philip Meyer predicts that by 2043 the newsprint will die in the US. This sort of theory is ambiguous to some; however more youths are turning to the internet for their news and everyday stories. UK’s 15s and 24s say they spend almost 30% less time reading newspapers once they start using the internet. Advertising is another component talked about within the article. Switzerland and the Netherlands newspapers have lost half their classified promotion to the web. The article mainly emphasis

Twitter workarounds give anyone 280 characters to play with https://www.engadget.com/2017/09/27/twitter-workarounds-280-characters-tweet/ Twitter is currently conducting a trial of a platform that will double its character count—from its default of 140 up to 280. Only a select few will have access to the new feature, but those who don’t may be able to gain access if they’re willing to tweak their browser. Some enterprising users have found several workarounds that will double the tweet character count in creative ways. User  @ErrataRob  posted one of the techniques (via  @dildog ), which involves meddling with the Chrome browser. As you can tell from the thread above, this method requires a bit of legwork. But, there is an easier way. Twitter user  @prof9  tweeted a link to a Tampermonkey script for Chrome that's much easier to set up, and offers the same result: Longer tweets. To get it working, first install  Tampermonkey , and then head to this  Github reposit

Microsoft Excel is about to get a lot smarter https://techcrunch.com/2017/09/26/microsoft-excel-is-about-to-get-a-lot-smarter/?ncid=rss By early 2018, Excel will be able to understand more about its users’ inputs and pull additional information from the Internet as necessary. Microsoft will introduce new data types so Excel users can tag a list of company names and then access more information about those companies from Microsoft’s Bing API, such as stock data and market cap. The program will also offer a new tool to automatically pull the most interesting data from a spreadsheet and visualize it. “We’re pleased to introduce new data types,” “That doesn’t sound all that interesting and we had this interesting discussion about what we’d name these things, but at the end of the day we realized that if you’re really an Excel wonk, the thing that you’re going to get is that there’s new data types.” The new data types will launch early next year. Insights will arrive in a

1)    What the A grade answer does that I haven't done: Showed confidence in answers by back his points with evidence. Strong developed sentences which earned him more credits. Almost all candidates focused on the question to which they outlined the debates and issues about new and digital media Debates about a digital underclass of people who are excluded from the developments in new and digital media 2) Read the Examiners' Report for this exam as outlined above and write three bullet points that summarise the key comments that apply to your essay. Candidates with a very wide ranging case study tended to just include descriptive lists of developments in new and digital media, rather than focusing on the question.
